Loopsmith ("we," "our," or "us") operates Loopsmith, a desktop application for generating TikTok slideshow content. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Loopsmith and our website.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Desktop Application

Loopsmith is a desktop application that runs entirely on your computer. We do not operate servers that receive or store your data. Specifically:

  • API Keys: Any third-party API keys you enter (for DALL-E, Flux, SDXL, etc.) are stored locally on your device using your operating system's secure credential storage (Electron safeStorage). They are never transmitted to our servers.
  • Projects & Content: All slideshow projects, generated images, templates, and exported files remain on your local machine. We have no access to your content.
  • License Key: Your license key is stored locally for activation verification.

2.2 Website

When you visit our website or make a purchase, we may collect basic analytics data (page views, referral source) through Firebase Analytics. We do not collect personally identifiable information through the website beyond what is required for purchase processing.

3. Third-Party Services

Loopsmith integrates with or relies on the following third-party services:

  • LemonSqueezy: We use LemonSqueezy to process payments and manage licenses. When you purchase Loopsmith, your payment information is handled directly by LemonSqueezy. Please review their privacy policy.
  • AI Image Providers: When you use AI image generation features, your prompts are sent directly from your device to the provider you configure (OpenAI for DALL-E, Replicate for Flux/SDXL, etc.) using your own API keys. We do not act as an intermediary. Each provider's privacy policy governs their handling of your data.
  • Firebase Analytics: Our website uses Firebase Analytics to understand site traffic and usage patterns. This may involve cookies set by Google. You can opt out using browser privacy settings or extensions.

4. Cookies

The Loopsmith desktop application does not use cookies. Our website may use cookies through Firebase Analytics for traffic analysis. These are standard analytics cookies and do not track you across other websites. You can disable cookies through your browser settings.

5. Data Retention

Since we do not collect or store your application data on our servers, there is no server-side data to retain. Your local data persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the application. Purchase records are maintained by LemonSqueezy in accordance with their retention policies and applicable tax/legal requirements.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: Since your data is stored locally, you have full access at all times.
  • Delete your data: You can delete all local data by removing Loopsmith and its associated files from your computer.
  • Request purchase data: For any data held by LemonSqueezy related to your purchase, contact us and we will facilitate your request.
  • Opt out of analytics: You can disable Firebase Analytics cookies through your browser settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Loopsmith is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
